SIGNS to look out for

When I was first introduced to autism I didn't know what it was, and I had to learn quickly and efficiently. I learned that some major signs to look out for are
  1. walking on tip-toes
  2. flapping hands
  3. no fear or understanding of danger
  4. lack of effective communication skills
  5. an inability to process emotion
  6. aggressive behaviors, biting, pinching, scratching, head butting etc.
  7. problems socializing with others
  8. lack of eye contact
  9. multiple stimms (activities that are repeated over and over again)
  10. lining up objects
These are some signs to watch out for. If your child is displaying some or all of these behaviors you may want to start your autism journey of a pediatrician, and a psychological evaluation.
